The elders are thrilled to announce that Blake Brunner has accepted the position of Youth Pastor at ACC! The position will be a part time (10 hours a week) position that will focus on Sunday youth and family ministries (Sunday school and Sunday evening youth group). In time the scope of the position may broaden, God willing. Blake’s main job will be to mentor, teach, and foster the spiritual formation of children and teens at ACC. Blake will serve as a leader, ministry resource, encourager, and partner in ministry with our current roster of amazing youth ministry volunteers. Blake’s personal goal as youth pastor is to create a group of young people who are passionate about loving Jesus and loving the people around them. He believes that teens are not too young to take part in their own spiritual formation and in the formation of their peers. Blake grew up in Hutchinson, KS and graduated from high school in 2015. In the past few years, Blake has served in various youth ministries in the Manhattan, KS area and has had extensive experience in leading youth groups, preaching, planning curriculum, leading youth trips, equipping parents, serving on camp teams at CIY, and youth counseling. Blake received his B.A. in Christian Ministry from Manhattan Christian College (Manhattan, KS) this past May and is currently working on his Master’s degree at Lincoln Christian Seminary where he received the Restoration Scholarship. Blake is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid. He has been highly recommended to us by his mentors and professors and we are truly excited about Blake joining the team here at ACC! Please join us in praying for Blake as he begins his ministry here this week!
