Core Values
We are committed to God the Father as Creator and Sustainer; God the Son as Savior and Redeemer; and God the Spirit as the Indwelling Presence. (Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; Acts 17:24-28; Romans 8:9-11; Colossians 1:15-20)
We believe that Jesus is the only Son of God, the Savior of the world, and that salvation comes only as we respond obediently to God’s grace (an obedience which includes faith, repentance, confession of Christ as God’s Son, immersion and faithful Christian living). We also believe that the Holy Spirit dwells within each Christian and that He is the author of gifts for each one’s service so that Christ be glorified.
We are committed to Biblical authority for proclamation and practice. (Psalm 119:89-94, 105; II Timothy 3:16-17)
We believe that all teaching and preaching must be based on the authoritative Word of God, the Bible. It is the supreme guide for our beliefs and behavior.
We are committed to local evangelism and discipleship. (Matthew 28: 18-20; Colossians 1:28; II Peter 1:5-11)
We believe that our congregation must be constantly witnessing to people who live in our community. As disciples (or followers) of Jesus we desire to make more and better disciples by building personal relationships with people so that they accept Christ as God’s Son and together we grow in Jesus Christ by being obedient to His teachings. Discipleship also includes a faithful prayer life, regular study of God’s Word and active involvement in ministry in light of one’s gifts.
We are committed to global missions. (Genesis 12:1-3; Acts 1:8)
We believe that not only must we be making disciples locally but we are to be engaged in making disciples globally by supporting and even participating in responsible missionary efforts.
We are committed to develop healthy relationships with one another. (Matthew 22:34-46; I John 4:7-21)
A healthy Christian fellowship which welcomes all who desire to follow Christ is a key to spiritual growth for people. Hence, we will foster an atmosphere that encourages the building of relationships with God through Christ and with one another.
We are committed to cultivating strong family relationships. (Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 5:22-6:4)
We believe that healthy families focuses on Jesus Christ are a necessity for both church and society at large and that the church must assist the developing of proper relationships between family members.
We are committed to God-honoring worship. (Psalm 16:5-11; John 4:23,24; Romans 12:1,2)
We believe that all Christians must be committed to consistently worshiping God both corporately in our various gatherings and as individuals in our everyday walk with Christ.
We are committed to Godly servant-leadership and every-member ministry. (Matthew 20:26-28; Ephesians 4:11-16; I Timothy 3:1-13)
We believe that Christian leaders are those individuals who have a passion to serve God and people with integrity and in love. Such individuals have God-given character and God-given gifts and willingly accept their God-given responsibilities to influence and to equip people to live for the praise and glory of God.
We are committed to faith stretching stewardship. (Luke 21:1-4; Romans 12:1,2; Colossians 3:17,23,24)
We believe that all Christians must demonstrate daily that all that we are and all that we have (for example, our financial resources, the proper use of our time, etc.) must be used in service of God and people.
