Doug Maris, Teaching Pastor
Doug and Michelle Maris have been married since 1990 and have lived outside Atlanta since 2003. Michelle is a Developmental Therapist through Illinois’ Early Intervention Program, and also serves as Family Coordinator with the Olympia School District. Their oldest daughter Michaela is married to Joe Mantarian, and both graduated from Olivet Nazarene University and own flower and videography businesses. Son Dylan lives and works in Chicago. Daughter Mariah attends Liberty University.
Doug is a 1986 graduate of Lincoln Christian College, and received both an MA (Philosophy) and MDiv (New Testament) from Lincoln Christian Seminary in 1994. He has served in central Illinois churches in both full-time and interim ministry roles. He has served as adjunct faculty for numerous colleges and universities. Doug’s “day job” is serving as Vice President of Operations, and Senior Consulting, for LBL Strategies, a strategic management consulting and training firm located in Chicago.
Doug's current responsibilities at ACC include Sunday morning teaching/preaching, church leadership development, and small groups training.
